    Steve,

Remember when we talked about being able to attack the lanes from different angles. Well I have found the perfect video by Chris Barnes and just go to the link below and click on the Chris and Chris #4 video.

    Hi Steve,

I tell you what there is no feeling like it when you have that last strike to throw and you throw it perfect in the pocket and the pins just blow off of the deck and suddenly everything starts flashing and all of your fellow bowlers are coming over and congratulating you. IT'S SWEET!

I cannot wait for you to have that feeling my friend so get connected with some USBC leagues and make it happen. Just don't pressure yourself and just let everything flow and remember keep it simple. It doesn't do any good to think about because my main thought was winning the league for my team and not a 300 so I was very focused on just getting strikes.

I figured it up with practice and the second game I had 25 strikes in a row. The other thing is my last game sucked because all of that adrenalin had gone away and we had pretty much won the league so we were already celebrating and I didn't care by then because we won.

    Hi Steve,

Listen I rolled my 300 last night on the last night of the league and it was great. The funny thing is most everyone just wasn't paying attention and bowling as usual so it kept me a little more relaxed. You know I have had 4 800 series and I average high but I had not had a 300 game in a long time and never one where I get the ring.

So it was a great last night of league plus we won the league so that was also really cool.

    Good luck,
    Chris

Congrats on the 289 and the 10 in a row. Keep it up and like Chris said, when you get the 300, make sure you do it in a sanctioned league.

Well keep it up! Just make sure when you do bowl that 300 you are on that USBC sanctioned league. ;-)

Thanks for your comments Steve. I really don't know what I am doing different during league but lately I think it may have something to do with my confidence. When I practice I feel like I know exactly what the ball is going to do when it leaves my hand but, in league I am all over the place. I am not sure why I can't seem to get over this hurdle it truly is a mystery. When I first started this league I was thriving off the pressure of being the anchor bowler and bowling really consistenly. I too was in the 190's for my average. Then my wrist started to bug me and things started to change. I have corrected the wrist problem with a brace but my head has not caught up to my body. Anyway, I just don't seem to focus in league like I do in practice and I get negative far too quickly. Well, I better stop rambling and get on with my day. Thanks again for your comments I think it is helping me to be able to vent these frustrations to people who care enough about bowling to listen. I will keep you updated on how things progress. I hope your thumb heals soon and when it does remember there was a time when you could bowl.

    Good Luck

Okay for the tournament this weekend if you have more than one ball try them all and see what is rolling the best and getting the best reaction and if you have two that are rolling well see which one you are just more comfortable with.

Also at your level of bowling spares can be the difference between a 190 and a 225 game so concentrate on your spares just as much as strikes. Everyone has had problems picking up 10 pins and 7 pins. I can take any ball in my bag and pick up the 10 pin and 7 pin no matter lane conditions.

It's just something I have taught myself to do. If you have problems rolling the ball flat with no lift through the fingers then your best bet is to use a plastic ball that does not move much.

Now I am not sure what you are talking about for the video and posistions. Give me a few more details.

    Good luck,
    Chris
